Through the practice of traditional Taekwon-Do, children improve coordination, balance, focus, and self-control, as well as learn to honour the history and traditions of Taekwon-Do. As a result, their self-esteem grows, which in turn benefits their family life, academic performance, and other areas of their lives.
Conflict avoidance skills are stressed as the primary and most effective means of avoiding trouble, at the same children are taught the skills that will allow them to defend themselves.
Taekwon-Do emphasises moral as well as physical development through well defined etiquette. The student will learn respect for seniors, instructors and more importantly themselves.
Children gain confidence through the continual encouragement and participation in class which empowers them to participate in areas that they would normally shy away from.
